The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma starred in the movie 'Badmash Company that came out in the year 2010. The film also featured Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das. It was met with mixed receptions. In the same year, Anushka Sharma appeared in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh, in which she played the role of a middle class Punjabi girl who begins her own wedding-planning business. It received positive reviews. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film agreement under the Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
